The green remains well maintained but its streetscape is beginning to deteriorate with the inclusion of the unsympathetic apartment house and the shopping plaza set back from the road on West Street. The three vinyl-clad houses along the western edge of the green appear to be somewhat neglected. The apartment building was built through a variance to the zoning regulations. Since then, all requests for variances have been disallowed based on new regulations.
