The integrity of the green has been virtually destroyed. However, according to the deed, it must remain open space. As a result, because of its strategic location not far from town and close to the Boston Post Road, bordered by Jesup Road Historic District, and near the bank of the Saugatuck River, it would be appropriate if the town fathers would consider its history and acknowledge its presence when developing the area in the future.
