This precious site has no historic landmark designation. It is zoned for one-acre residences and could easily see unsympathetic development. Presently there are questions regarding the future of Rumsey Hall. It has been the center of local controversy regarding its potential conversion into a new town hall. The quarters used for the town offices east of the green are cramped.
