Threats: Deterioration, Other, Traffic, Zoning
Threats Details:

The gradual evolution of Route 6 into a highway lined with 20th century strip development is a threat to the green. A Dairy Mart has already been constructed on the southeast corner diagonally across from it. Two of the three buildings directly across from the green have lost some of their historic integrity through alterations meant to update the fa├žade in order to make them more attractive to the consumer. These buildings and those on the other side of Route 6 and east of the green (part of the local historic district) have the appearance of buildings undergoing economic disinvestment where demolition due to neglect is always a threat.
