Visit the Document Center, to be found here in DATACENTER, and locate Researching Town Greens. You will have all the good ideas you need to research further your own town green.
Search by Subject
Researchers can locate greens with specific features by entering the subject in the site search (at the top of this page) and clicking on find. For example, entering the word FLAGPOLE will bring up a list of all the greens with flagpoles.

The Connecticut Trust for Historic Preservation is pleased to announce that www.TownGreens.com has received two awards: The Connecticut Humanities Council's Wilbur Cross Award for outstanding use of technology and the Connecticut League of History Organization's Award of Merit for developing a data-based history website which acts as an archive on Connecticut's town greens and for greatly adding to the understanding of Connecticut local and state history.
